Vinelife Studies

Vinelife Discipleship Classes cover a variety of topics and generally run several weeks at a time. If you would like to join a study or have questions, just call the church at 706-769-7660 .
VineLife is a process of study experiences designed to help you:
- Deepen your relationship with God (through prayer, Bible study and application of the truths of Scripture)
- Strengthen your relationships with others (your marriage, your family and your friends).
- Discover your life purpose and ministry (using your spiritual gifts, natural talents and God-given personality).
- Develop your sharing skills (become an effective witness for Christ and participate in His mission).
Current Studies
"How to Study the Bible for Yourself" begins Sunday June 29th and will last for three Sundays from 6:30-7:30 pm. There will be a ladies' class (Becoming A Woman of the Word) taught by Carolyn Rogers and a men's class (Becoming A Man of the Word) taught by Pastor Rick. The men's class will have a workbook and cost is $12.00 for the book.

Upcoming Studies:
"Three Chairs" will begin August 3rd.
Chairs. You probably have all different kinds in your house. Bruce Wilkinson uses the image of the chair to illustrate different levels of commitment to Christ. Every Christian needs to be challenged to become what Wilkinson calls "first-chair" Christians".
This video-based series will:
- Convict you in your walk with God
- Challenge you to repent to the Lord
- Call you to a deeper level of commitment
Revelation 4: Interpreting Revelation in the Light of Biblical Prophecy
The final part of this four-part Precept study explores the relationship between Revelation and prophecies throughout the Bible, especially in the Old Testament. Through your inductive study you'll understand Bible prophecy and see how the Bible fits together in a whole new way.

MEANINGFUL MEMBERSHIP
The church is a family, and for a family to get along, there has to be a healthy relationship. To have a healthy relationship, there must be clear communication. At Briarwood, we want to get to know you and for you to get to know us. MEANINGFUL MEMBERSHIP is a 2-hour class offered 4-6 times per year and taught by Pastor Rick Standard. This class will inform you about our purposes, core values, adn essential beliefs. You will see what we are passionate about, what we are committed to, and how we are structured.
The objective of this class is to enable you to prayerfully make an informed decision concerning embership at Briarwood Baptist Church.

The following schedule of discipleship courses has been designed to carry members from the basics of the Christian Faith toward spiritual maturity. The strategy is designed to enhance spiritual growth through three levels of coursework to be completed over 3-5 years:
VINELIFE 101- Developing Strong Roots (Knowing and Loving God)
